1. Always ask permission before photographing, interviewing or filming.  Please ask
permission from the Samaritans you are with and any travelers you may encounter.
              2. If you do not speak Spanish, a Samaritan will translate for you
              3. Follow the instructions of the Samaritans so that we may provide critically
needed services in a timely manner.
              4. Please keep your questions brief.
              5. If your story also requires comments from Homeland Security personnel,
please do so after the Samaritan trip is complete.
              6. Honor the choices people make.
              7. Be respectful with your choice of words when describing the individuals that
we may  encounter. They all have personal stories and situations that bring them here.
The use of the term 'illegal alien' we feel is inappropriate.  Thank you.

Thank you for your interest in documenting the work of Samaritans and the humanitarian crisis on the border. If you choose to ride along on a trip with us, please remember that our priority is to provide water, food and medical aid to those who we find in distress.  While we do not further the trip of healthy
travelers, neither is being the cause of their apprehension part of our protocol.
